Kedajany Senepol Stud is a small family-run stud located on the Far North Coast of NSW, some 40 km north of Kyogle, near the Qld border. The stud commenced in 2005 when we recognised the potential contribution of Senepol breed to Australian cattle industry. Selective purchases from Caribbean Senepols, Aust. Agricultural Company and others formed the backbone of our stud along with embryos from Elders Breeding Services. Through artificial insemination, embryo transfer and natural joining we are in the process of expanding our stud. We currently have over 50 registered animals with contrasting pedigrees.
We are located in a humid sub-tropical environment with predominantly summer rainfall. Cattle are raised on a mix of native (spear, kangaroo and blady) and improved (kikyuyu, seteria and rhodes) grasses. Our bulls have to perform in the paddock and our animals have to forage hard particularly in late winter. Some studs wean the bulls as early as 3 months on a grain-based diet. While these bulls may look impressive their long-term performance in the paddock is questionable.
Kedajany Senepols is proud to offer a range of fixed price stud stock for sale. Volume discounts are available along with free delivery to the Casino regional saleyards.
If you are interested in Senepol genetics we are happy to discuss the matter with you. Inspections arranged by appointment (02 66364110).
